Mi estuche de bordado

My embroidery case

Saludos, acabo de terminar mi estuche de bordado. Grandioso¡¡  Subí al blog el bordado terminado hace algunas semanas, a lo mejor lo recuerdan. Y hoy finalmente termine toda la costura y el armado. 

Adoro el resultado. No es demasiado  grande y cabe en cualquier bolso. Además lleva adentro todo lo que necesito.

Hi, I have just finished my embroidery case. Great¡¡  I posted the finished embroidery work a few weeks ago, maybe you remenber it. And today I finally make all the sewing and the assembly. I reallt love the final result. It's not too big, it fits any bag, to carry your embroidery wherever you go. And it carries everything I need.

Febrero es el último mes del calendario country que Rosy, Margot y yo hemos estado haciendo desde Marzo del año pasado.

En una entrada anterior publique los meses de Diciembre y Noviembre.

Ahora toca el turno a Septiembre y Octubre...

February is the last month of the country calendar that Rosy, Margot and I have been doing since march of last year. 

In an previous post I published the months of November and December. 

Now is the turn of September and October..

It has been really fun doing this

BLACKWORK EMBROIDERY

Bordando en Negro¡¡
Saludos, hoy queria compartiles el bordado que he estado haciendo a ratos. Es tipo redwork pero en negro y me parece que luce bastante. Este tipo de bordado es muy relajante y es ideal para liberar las tensiones de la vida diaria... cuando menos en mi tiene ese efecto, por eso me gusta tanto.
Creo que voy a convertirlo en un estuche de costura, a ver..ya les mostraré el resultado final.

Embroidering on Black¡¡
Greetings, today I wanted to share  with you, the embroidery I've been doing in my spare times. It's like redwork but in black, and I think it looks pretty.This type of embroidery is very relaxing and is perfect to release the stress of everyday life ... at least, it has that effect on me, so I that's why I love it.
I think I'll turn it into a sewing kit, we'll see .. and then I will show the final result.

We are almost finishing all the calendar blocks, february's block is the only one left to do. So I'm going to make a review of all blocks made by our sewing group. This isn't a big group but we all enjoy sewing and our friendship.

I´m going to start with the blocks of december and november, because we didn't started in january. And for now I'm going to show you only Margot's, Rosy's and mine blocks because Aida is catching us up because she started later.

Ya casi estamos terminando los bloques del calendario country que hemos estado bordando. Solo nos falta el mes de febrero. Así que quiero hacer una reseña de todos los cuadros que hemos hecho en nuestro grupo de costura. Este no es un grupo muy grande pero realmente disfrutamos la costura y nuestra amistad.  Voy a empezar con los cuadros de diciembre y noviembre ya que no iniciamos en enero. Por ahora les mostraré solamente los cuadros de Margot, Rosy y los mios. Ya que Aida se está poniendo al dia porque empezó más tarde.

Rainy september is here, it has been raining amost every day so this were good days to sit and embroider, listening the rain  fall.

Septiembre lluvioso está aquí, ha llovido casi todos los dias; así que han sido dias perfectos para sentarnos a bordar mientras oimos la lluvia caer.

"A lovely redwork scene"

Hi everyone, today is a lovely day and we are going to the ranch at noon but I didn't want to go before I share with you what I'm working on now. Beside the cloth horse that I'm doing, I'm doing some redwork embroidery... it's a beautiful design from Cathy Parker from quilting bee designs.

Hola a todas, hoy es un lindo dia y vamos al rancho al mediodia, pero no quería irme sin compartirles lo que estoy haciendo en redwork. E un bello diseño de Kathy Parker de quilting bee designs.

And is almost done... Only have to choose the fabrics for the border to finish it. So far is one of my favorites redwork embroidery I have done.

Mientras llegan quiero compartirles el mantel bordado en redwork que hice.

It had lovely kitchen stuff all around because my dinner table is circular and it looks very nice in red color.

Tiene utensilios de cocina en todo el alrededor ya que es circular y luce bien bonito en color rojo.

A nice hot sunday

Un domingo caluroso agradable

Hi,not even the heat stopped my kids and I to roast some beef and have a beer here at home. We had a very nice day being together.
Hola, ni siquiera el calor nos detuvo a mis hijos y a mi de asar carnes y tomar una cerveza aqui en la casa. Pasamos un lindo dia  juntos.

This hot days I haven't do much in my "unfinished projects" but I'm making a little redwork and a little of cross stitch when I'm on the mood.

Estos dias tan calurosos no he trabajado mucho en mis proyectos pendientes, pero cuando me dan ganas he hecho un poco de redwork y de punto de cruz.

I've been doing some machine aplique too. I started this bunny blocks about two years ago, when I still lived in Palenque. That was the time when the only 100% cotton fabric I could get was that vichy fabrics. I used them in two baby quilts I made for my nephews. And my daugther Bárbara asked me for a bunnie quilt with those fabrics.

También he estado haciendo unas aplicaciones con la máquina. Empecé estos cuadros de conejitos hace como dos años cuando todavía vivía en Palenque. Esa era la epoca en que la unica tela de algodon que consegñia era esa tela mascota. La use para hacer las colchitas de bebé de mis sobrinos y mi hija Bárbara me pidió una colcha de cuadritos con conejitos.

So that's what I'm in now, here are some of the photos of the baby quilts too.

Ya estamos en mayo y no habia subido el cuadro de abril del calendario country que unas amigas y yo estamos haciendo desde marzo.

Realmente me gusto el conejito de pascua.

We are in may now and I haven't post the april's block from this country calendar quilt that a few friends and I are doing since march. 

I really like the little easter bunnie.

Fué un Bom (block o cuadro por mes) que ella publico en su blog. Todos los cuadros de cada mes estan bien sencillos y hermosos.
Mis amigas y yo estamos disfrutando bordandolos mes con mes.

It was a BOM (Block of the month) that she posted in her blog. All the month blocks are very simple and beautiful. 
My friends and I are enjoying very much doing the embroidery each month.

Y eso es todo de abril y la pascua, solo me queda compartirles una foto de como pasamos el domingo de pascua...Tuvimos la alberca,buenos amigos,rica comida,carnes asadas, buena musica...hasta los perros tuvieron un buen dia ya que nos robaron carne asada y las alitas de pollo...mmmm
And that's all for easter and april, the only thing left to share is a photo of how we spend our easter sunday...we had the swimming pool, good friends, good food, good music ..even our dogs had a good day because they stole our roast meat and chicken wings...mmmm

A pasado un año y medio que dejé mi casa de Palenque, Chiapas y ahora estoy viviendo en Mérida, Yucatán. Dejé atrás muy buenas amigas con las que acostumbraba reunirme una vez por semana para bordar y costurar y hablar y hablar...; obviamente extraño eso y obviamente seguimos en contacto.
  Aqui en Mérida tengo nuevas amigas que comparten conmigo el amor por las manualidades. Es maravilloso que donde quiera que vayamos encontramos gente maravillosa.
  Así que empezamos lo que llamo nuestro "club de costura", y acordamos bordar el mismo proyecto por todo un año y entonces reunirnos para ver como nos quedó y terminarlo juntas. 
Este proyecto es un calendario en redwork muy sencillo y muy lindo que será fácil hacerlo sin retrasar nuestros proyectos personales. Así que ahora somos "las chicas del calendario".

Acabo de terminar el cuadro del mes de marzo y aqui se los comparto.

   It have been a year and a half that I left my Palenque, Chiapas home and I´m living in Mérida, Ycatán now. I left behind very good friends with whom I usually get together once a week to handstitch or sew and to talk and talk....; obviously I miss that and obviously we are still in touch .
   Here in Merida I have new friends that share with me the love for crafts. It's great that wherever we go we'll find wonderful people.
  So we started what I called our "embroidery club", and we agreed to hand stitch the same project for one whole year and then we are going to share how it came out and finish it together. This project is a redwork calendar very simple and very nice so it will be easy to do it without delaying our personal projects. And now we are the "calendar girls".
