Saludos ! Ya se siente en el aire ¡ ¿ Lo notan ? Claro que sí, la navidad se acerca y ya empezamos todas a cocer como locas porque otra vez nos ha cogido desprevenidas y no hemos terminado todos los proyectos que planeamos.
Hello to all! I feel it in the air, Did you notice? Sure you do, Christmas is coming and we started to sew like crazy all over again because we have been caught off guard, and have not finished all the projects we planned.

Cuando menos a mi, así me ha pasado, con todos los SALes a los que me he inscrito casi no he dedicado mi tiempo a otras labores. Pero son tan bellos que no puedo decir que no.
At least, it happens to me, with all the SALs that I'm in, I haven't dedicated my time to the other christmas projects I have. But they are so beautiful, that I can not say no.

Y aquí una muestra de esto: una "duende Tilda" de un proyecto en conjunto del blog "Las Tildas de canelussaka".

Esta bella, me encantó y tan pronto la terminé, la mandé volando con mi amiga Rosy que siempre está ahí y sé que le va a encantar.
She is beautiful, I loved her and as soon as I finished making it, I sent her flying with my friend Rosy who is always there and I know she'll love her.

Como ven esta duendecita tiene muchos pequeños detalles, un botón de nochebuena (flor de navidad) y un cascabel en el gorro. Lleva en la mano una campanita dorada y un cascabel al cuello tambien.
As you see this little elf has many small details, a poinsettia button  and a sleighbell in her bonnet. Carries in her hand a golden bell and a sleighbell around her neck too.

 

! Animo ¡ Aún nos queda mucho tiempo para terminar todos nuestros proyecto navideños ¡

Cuando menos eso quiero pensar...

! Así que a poner manos a la obra como los duendecillos de Santa y nos vemos pronto ¡

Estan por todas partes ¡¡

Tienen el cuerpo pequeño y redondo, las piernas y brazos largos, una nariz muy grande, ojos semicerrados y sus orejas se hacen para adelante y para atras ¡¡¡ 

¿Que seran estas pequeñas criaturas? 

They are everywhere ¡¡

They have small, rounded body, long legs and arms, a big nose, eyes half closed and their ears are moving forward and backward ¡¡¡

What are these little creatures?

Ja-ja ¡¡ Aqui los tienen, estos pequeños moustros que hice con tela de franela para mis sobrinitos que van a estar de cumpleaños. Les puse las narices y orejas en telas de colores alegres, para que cada quién sepa cual es el suyo.

Ha-ha ¡¡ Here are these little monsters I made with flannel for my little nephews, who are going to have their birthday party. Imade  their noses and ears in brightly colored fabrics, so that each one knows which is his.

Fue una labor rápida y sencilla pero con un resultado maravilloso, ya que me encantó como quedaron.

¿Que les parece? 

Estan simpáticos ¡¡ ¿Verdad?

It was a quick and easy labor, but with a wonderful result, and I loved them.

Ha sido una semana lluviosa y el bochorno que deja la lluvia casi no me ha dejado trabajar en mis bordados, pero hay voy, paso a pasito y espero poder mostrarles el mantel que estoy haciendo muy pronto.
It  has been a rainy  week and the heat  behind haven't let me me work on my embroidery, but there I go, step by step and I hope I can show the tablecloth I'm doing very soon.

Mary Ann is on her way to Puerto Rico, Where my dear friend Carmen is waiting for her. 
It's great to think that this little doll I've made with all my love is going to live in Carmen's home that is so far away from here, where she is going to be loved and apreciated, as I do with all my dolls. 
It's a mysterious way how love travels around the world ¡ Don't you think?
Mary Ann esta en camino a Puerto Rico, donde la espera mi querida amiga Carmen.
Es grandioso pensar que esta pequeña muñeca que hice con todo mi cariño va a vivir en casa de Carmen que esta tan lejos de aqui, donde será amada y apreciada, como hago yo con todas las muñecas que hago.

Pilgrim dolls

Muñecos Peregrinos

Hi, today I want to share with you this pilgrim dolls I made last christmas as a gift to my brother Alex and her wife Julie. 

These dolls are the first ones I made with  round heads and sculped faces.
Saludos, hoy quiero compartirles estos muñecos peregrinos que les hice a mi hermano Alex y su esposa Julie para navidad.
Esos son los primeros muñecos que hago con cabezas redondas y caras esculpidas.

As you can see they have the eyelids and the nose sculped and their body is made of muslin, the eyes and mouth are painted and hand stitched. 

I really liked  them¡¡ Now I had to do another pair for me.
Como pueden ver, tienen los párpados y la nariz esculpidos, su cuerpo está hecho de muslin y los ojos y boca son pintados y bordados a mano.
Realmente me encantaron¡¡ Ahora tengo que hacer un par para mí.

The pattern is called "Around about", from sweet meadows farm,  it's a great pattern cause you can do several different dolls with it: a cat, a pumpkin  doll, a raggedie Annie or Andy, a snowman, a santa, all with round heads.

It was a good choice when I got it, cause I loved how my pilgrims came out, so I think that the other dolls should be beatiful to make too.
El patrón es de Sweet Meadows Farm, se llama "A round about", y es muy buen patrón porque del mismo se pueden hacer varios muñecos diferentes:un gato, una muñeca calabaza, raggedys Ann y Andy, un muñeco de nieve un santa, y todos con las cabezas redondas.
Fué una buena inversion, ya que me encantó como quedaron los peregrinos y me imagino que los demás muñecos deben quedar bellos también.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

As you can see, I can't help it, i just love raggedies. So I did a couple of them for my christmas Tree. They are very small, about 8", made of muslin, with embroidered face, red yarn hair and painted shoes. Andy's clothes are red and blue and Annie's are in a beautiful printed red. I can't wait to see both hanging in my Tree.

Como ven no lo puedo evitar, adoro estas muñecas. Así que me hice un par de raggedies para adornar mi arbolito de Navidad. Son pequeñas, como 20 cm, hechas de muslin, con su carita bordada, pelo rojo de estambre y zapatitos pintados. La ropa de Andy es roja y azul y la de Annie es una linda tela roja estampada. No puedo esperar para verlos colgando de mi árbol.

They are Raggedy Annie and Raggedy Andy, as you see they are very sweet and lovable.

Ellos son Raggedy Annie y Raggedy Andy, como ven son muy dulces y adorables.

I really love  the soft colors I choosed for their clothes, they are such baby colors.

Me encantaron los colores suaves que escogí para sus ropas, son colores adecuados para bebe.

Hi everyone, today I officially started my christmas crafts. Every year I try to make some new ornaments for my christmas tree. This year I want to add some Raggedy Annies on it. So today I painted some wood beads with Annie faces. Then I atatch them some used thread spools to make the bodies. And here is how they look so far.

Hola a todas, Hoy oficialmente empecé mis manualidades navideñas. Todos los años trato de hacer adornos nuevos para mi arbolito. Este año quiero poner unas Raggedy Annies, así que pinte unas cuentas de madera con caritas raggedy, hice unas negritas tambien. Luego les uní unos carretes de hilo usados para formar los cuerpos. Así es como se ven hasta ahora.

I'm thinking that I'm going to do the arms and legs with striped fabric, and the hands with some smaller wood beads.

I'm not sure about the dresses, maybe I use some chritmas fabric with small prints on it or I dress all the raggeddies with different fabrics in different colors and prints. I don't know yet, I'm still thinking...

Estoy pensando hacer los brazos y piernas con tela rayada y las manitas y pies con cuentas de madera mas pequeñas. No estoy segura de los vestidos, a lo mejor uso telas navideñas con estampados pequeñitos, o a lo mejor las visto a todas con telas estampadas de diferentes colores. No sé aún. sigo pensando...

I also assembled some dolls with wooden beads and spools. They are very easy to do as you can see in the photo. And I think that they will look very nice in my christmas tree when I finish dressing them.

Maybe you're thinking, those are a lot, but obviously not all are for me. I always make a few extras to give away to friends and family.

Tambien armé unas muñecas con cuentas y carretes de madera. Son muy fáciles de hacer como pueden ver en la foto. Creo que se van a ver lindas en mi arbolito una vez que termine de vestirlas.

A lo mejor estan pensando que son muchas, obviamente no todas son para mi, siempre hago unas extras para regalar a amigos y familia.

Don't think that I forgot halloween, just yesterday I trace some dolls patterns: a few witches and raggedy witches that only need me sitting in my sewing machine.

Maybe tomorrow... cause I don't have the fabrics yet. I think that after halloween, the stores take out the christmas fabrics.

No crean que me olvide del día de muertos, apenas ayer tracé unos patrones de muñecas: de brujitas y brujitas raggedy, que solo necesitan que me siente frente a la máquina.

Hi everyone, This beautiful doll is "Raggedy Barby", it's the first doll my daugther Bárbara's made.

Saludos a todas, esta bellísima muñeca es Raggedy Barby, es la primera muñeca hecha por mi hija Bárbara.

 She made it all by hand, she also drew her face to be hand stitched.
Ella la hizo completamente a mano, incluso le dibujó la carita para bordarla.

I'm very proud of her and she really enjoyed making it, so it was a perfect day.
Estoy muy orgullosa de ella, ademas ella realmente disfrutó haciéndola. A sí que fué un dia perfecto.

Aqui estoy yo con Raggedy Barby. Mañana voy a subir las fotos de las muñecas que hicieron las amigas de Bárbara, Quedaron lindísimas.
