! Buen dia tengan todas ¡ Aqui estoy feliz haciendo esta entrada ya que me han llegado más alfileteros, correspondientes al mes de Enero en curso. Sin planearlo mucho, esta "propuesta 2013" esta teniendo seguidoras que se han animado a participar. Me dá gran satisfacción y alegría cada vez que recibo uno nuevo.

Y comencemos, los iré poniendo en el orden en que los fui recibiendo. 

Good day¡ Here I am. all happy doing this post because I have received more January pincushions. Without planning much, this "2013 challenge" is having more followers who have been encouraged to participate. It gives me great satisfaction and joy every time I get a new one.

Este bello alfiletero bordado en punto de cruz, o acerico como le dicen en otros lugares me lo envió Cane del maravilloso blog "Las Tildas de Canelussaka", y me agradó muchísimo que se animara a participar en el reto, ya que me ha permitido participar en su blog lo que me ha dejado muy gratas experiencias. Me encantaron los pequeños detalles que tiene.

El segundo que les voy a compartir es este lindísimo alfiletero hecho en fieltro y bordado delicadamente a mano. Con forma de panquecito o "cupcake", diría mi hija Bárbara.

Al fín mi cafeteria en punto de cruz está lista ¡
Este reto fué una propuesta de Najma del blog "Labores de Najma".
Ella hace unos trabajos bellísimos y los retos de bordado que organiza son maravillosos, nunca puedo dejarlos pasar sin apuntarme.
At last my cross stitched cafe-shop is ready.
This challenge was proposed by Najma's of the blog: "Labores de Najma"
She does beautiful things and the embroidery challenges that she organizes are wonderful, I never can let them pass without sign up.

Mini cafetería debería decir, ya que que es un proyecto muy pequeño, mide no más de 4 cm, y me dió lata la armada. De por sí el punto cruzado no es mi fuerte.
Pero ¿notan todos los bellos detalles de la cafeteria?, me encantó y si pasan a visitar a Najma verán las demas casitas, ya que eran 4 modelos a escoger: panadería, pizzería, florería y la cafetería. Todas bellas¡¡
Mini cafeteria I should say, this was a very small project, it is no more than 4 cm, and it wan't that easy to put it together.
But, can you notice all the beautiful details?, I loved it, and if you want to go visit Najma you can see the other  3 houses, because they were 4 models to choose: bakery, pizzeria, flower shop and the coffe shop I made. All beautiful.

Hace un dia hermoso y el sol parece que ya quiere salir en todo su esplendor, ya que hemos tenido muchos dias de lluvia.
Inspirada por los tímidos rayitos de sol hoy quiero compartirles unos bellos regalos que recibí de parte de mi hermana Yulia.
Greetings craft lovers ¡ It's a beautiful day and the sun seems like going out, and that's great cause we've had many days of rain. Inspired by the shy sunshine, today I want to share some beautiful gifts I received from my sister Yulia.

Como les he comentado en otra ocasión, ella hace maravillas en punto de cruz, aparte de que borda rapidísimo. Recordaran también que a mi no se me dá tanto el bordado a pesar que me encanta.
Lo peculiar de estas labores, aparte del cariño con que fueron hechas, es que ella avejentó el cuadrillé (tela cuadriculada para punto X) con café para darle un tono oscuro a la tela que le dió un aire rústico.
As I have said on another occasion, she does wonders in cross stitch. 
The peculiarity of this work, besides the affection with which they were made, is that she aged the fabric, with coffee to give it a dark color and a rustic look.

Pues bien, Yuly me ha consentido y me ha hecho este bello gallinero porque sabe que adoro las gallinitas...
¿Se fijaron de los bellos detalles? Pollitos picoteando, abejas y pajaritos revoloteando; y no podía faltar la mamá gallina y todo adornado con lindas flores.

Well, Yuly spoiled me, and made me this beautiful embroidered chicken coop because she knows that I love the chickens ...

 Y para rematar me hizo unos pequeños pinkeeps ideales para colgar en el arbolito, ya que los motivos son navideños. Que chulos se ven con la tela "cafeteada", ¿No creen?

Saludos a todas ¡¡

Dias lluviosos...normalmente me inspiran a cocer y ahora casi no he agarrado la aguja para nada, y tengo montones de proyectos que quiero hacer sin contar con los UFOs (unfinished objects) o proyectos sin terminar que tengo.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes este corazón en blackwork, que  bordé en rojo, lo terminé hace unas semanas, de un SAL organizado por Najma del blog: 

"Las labores de Najma".

Hello to all, rainy days ... It usually inspires me to sew, but now I hardly grabbed the needle at all, and I have lots of new projects I want to do, not counting the UFOs (unfinished objects) I have.
Today I share with you this blackwork heart, I made it in red, I've finished this heart a few weeks ago, as a SAL's project organized by Najma of the blog "Las labores de Najma".

Este es uno de mis diseños favoritos, es sencillo, rápido de hacer y queda bellísimo terminado. Planeo hacer más en otros colores para engalanar mi arbol de navidad este año.
This is one of my favorite designs is simple, quick to make and is beautiful when you finish it. I'm planning to do more of them in other colors to decorate my Christmas tree this year.

Hoy les quiero compartir esta labor que hice en vacaciones en compañia de mi amiga Rosy, es un "biscornu" bordado en punto de cruz. Me ha encantado, yo no los conocía, ni sabía que eran y gracias a Najma, del blog Labores de Najma, quien es la diseñadora de este bordado, los conocí...y aquí está mi primer biscornu...

Today I want to share what I did on vacations with my friend Rosie, is a cross stitch embroidered "biscornu".. I loved it, and I didn't knew what they were and thanks to Najma, of the blog Labores de Najma, who is the embroidery designer,  ...  here is my first biscornu.

El biscornu es una palabra derivada del frances que se refiere a un objeto de forma irregular con varias puntas. Generalmente son cuadros bordados unidos de una manera especial, que quedan formadas varias caras y puede usarse como alfiletero, sachet o colgante decorativo.

The biscornu is a word derived from French that refers to an irregularly shaped object with several points. They are usually squares embroidered  together in a special way, and can be used as a pincushion, sachet, or decorative hanging.

Le cambie el boton de color perla del centro por un abalorio rojo y se vé mucho mejor, ya después publicaré fotos para que vean el cambio.

Ahora estoy participando en un SAL de Najma, que es un biscornu colgante muy lindo, ya les mostrare mas adelante como voy...

I changed the pearl button of the center for a red bead and it looks much better, later I will post new photos so you can see the change.

Un regalo muy especial...

...y yo sigo mostrando los bellos regalos que recibí este cumpleaños, realmente soy muy afortunada¡¡ Y no solo por los regalos sino por tener amigas maravillosas que llenan mi vida de detalles y cariño. 

Este precioso cuadro me lo hizo mi amiga Rosy. Ella sabe lo mucho que me gustan las tazas y todo lo relacionado con el café y por eso escogió ese diseño. Sabía que me encantaría.
 Hemos sido amigas por mas de quince años, desde que nuestros hijos estaban en el kinder y  nos juntábamos a hacerles los disfraces de carnaval... y de ahí hasta el día de hoy , que nos seguimos reuniendo para hacer diferentes manualidades, desde patchwork hasta muñecas. Fué Rosy quien me inició en el patchwork y siempre se lo voy a agradecer ya que nunca lo hubiera intentado hacer  yo sola, porque no me llamaba mucho la atencion y ahora se ha convertido en una de mis pasiones.

Rosy, por eso, por ser mi amiga por tanto tiempo y por este bello regalo, ! Mil gracias ¡ Me encantó y siempre tendrá un lugar muy especial en mi casa y en mi corazón.

A beautiful present ¡

Hace unos dias fué mi cumpleaños y no podia dejar pasar la oportunidad de compartirles uno de los regalos que recibí. Este bellisimo cuadro me lo bordó mi hermana Yulia en punto de cruz, es un cuadro precioso con los cuadros mas representativos del patchwork, como el dresden plate y la estrella de Ohio,  que es el estado donde nació mi madre.
A few days ago was my birthday and I want to share with you one of the gifts I received. This lovely embroidered picture made in cross stitch by my sister Yulia, It is a beautiful work wich has some of the most known patchwork blocks, like the Dresden plate and the Ohio star wich is my mother's birthplace.

Yulia, mi hermana es colaboradora de este blog, y ella es la que ha subido unos bordados de punto de cruz que han visto en entradas anteriores; como los dos cuadros de veleros y las playeras que bordó para mis sobrinos y para su esposo Beto. Ella borda de manera impecable el punto de cruz y es su fuerte en cuanto a las manualidades; como saben, mi fuerte no es y lo poco que bordo en punto de cruz es con mucho esfuerzo, ya que me toma mucho tiempo.

Así que admirar el trabajo dedicado en mi regalo me llena de felicidad.

Yulia, my sister is also contributor of this blog, she is the one who has upload the posts about cross stitching lately, like the sailboats pictures and the embroidered t-shirts she made for her husband and kids.

She is great with cross stitching, and as you know that's not to easy for me, it takes to much time for me to finish a cross stitch project.

So to admire this beatiful work made by Yulia makes me very happy.

Saludos, acabo de terminar mi estuche de bordado. Grandioso¡¡  Subí al blog el bordado terminado hace algunas semanas, a lo mejor lo recuerdan. Y hoy finalmente termine toda la costura y el armado. 

Adoro el resultado. No es demasiado  grande y cabe en cualquier bolso. Además lleva adentro todo lo que necesito.

Hi, I have just finished my embroidery case. Great¡¡  I posted the finished embroidery work a few weeks ago, maybe you remenber it. And today I finally make all the sewing and the assembly. I reallt love the final result. It's not too big, it fits any bag, to carry your embroidery wherever you go. And it carries everything I need.

Big quilt or small quilt...That's the question.

Colcha grande o colcha chica...
Esa es la cuestión.

Al fin... ya escogí las telas, corte las tiras y se las costuré a cada cuadro del calendario country¡
Finally...chose the fabrics, cut the strips and sewed them to each block of the country calendar¡

Me gusta como se ven juntos, ahora mi dilema es decidir si agregar mas tiras para hacer una colcha para cama mas grande, o dejarla asi tal cual como una colchita de bebé o una colcha cubrepiernas.
I like how they look together, now my dilemma is what to do: add more strips to make it a bigger bed quilt, or  leave it in that size for a baby quilt or a lap quilt.

Me estaba gustando la idea de que quedara como un gobelino para colgar en mi cuarto de T.V., pero creo que está quedando demasiado grande para eso...¿Que creen?
I was on the idea of leaving it as a wallhwnging for my T.V. room, but is getting too big for that...Don't you think?

...mmmm tendré que seguir viéndola, y a ver que decido. 
Uniendo todos mediría mas o menos 42.5 pulg. de ancho por 51 pulg. de ancho.

Tienen sugerencias?

...mmmm I'll have to keep watching at it, and see what I decide. 
Joining all together it would measure more or less 42.5 in wide and 51 in long.

Bordando en Negro¡¡
Saludos, hoy queria compartiles el bordado que he estado haciendo a ratos. Es tipo redwork pero en negro y me parece que luce bastante. Este tipo de bordado es muy relajante y es ideal para liberar las tensiones de la vida diaria... cuando menos en mi tiene ese efecto, por eso me gusta tanto.
Creo que voy a convertirlo en un estuche de costura, a ver..ya les mostraré el resultado final.

Greetings, today I wanted to share  with you, the embroidery I've been doing in my spare times. It's like redwork but in black, and I think it looks pretty.This type of embroidery is very relaxing and is perfect to release the stress of everyday life ... at least, it has that effect on me, so I that's why I love it.
I think I'll turn it into a sewing kit, we'll see .. and then I will show the final result.
